1. FIRST REMARKABLE POINT:
The city of Turin is clearly focusing on developing the beauty of its palaces, and (why not) take economical advantage from it: that's the purpose of the Fondo Città di Torino , created mixing public and private participation to renew historical buildings (up to 19 so far) and develop from them modern and high-tech flats and shops, mixing old and new.
2. SECOND REMARKABLE POINT:
Yesterday night the event for the opening of the point of sales on the basement of the building was absolutely great!! They organized a VIDEOMAPPING: from 9.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on the façade of the building through lighting effects, music, actors playing and reading, musicians on the balconys ... the Garibaldi 23 building seemed to be already full of inhabitants, and a real estate that every single turin citzen should be proud of.... and ... last but not least (for me, that I'm SO gourmande), famous turin Peppino ice creams offered to the public assisting to the event during their evening promenade in via Garibaldi.
Well done, it is the second time that I assist to a Videomapping: the first one was in Strasbourg, almost 6 years ago, where such shows had been organized on at least 10 different hystorical buildings all along the city main river, and I loved it! Happy to see that (later better than never) Turin is proposing this as well !!
Prices of the flats ??? Of course NOT affordable for me, but it's always nice to have something to dream on!! ; - )
